Ideal Shopping Direct Limited (“ISD”) has today agreed to sell its business trading as Create and Craft to Hochanda Global Limited, operating as “The Craft Store” (“Hochanda”). This brings the two leading UK teleshopping channels for Craft products together. In the coming weeks, ISD and Hochanda will co-operate to broadcast Create and Craft programming on its current channels, notably Freeview channel 95 and Sky channel 683. All products will continue to be available at www.createandcraft.com. In due course, Hochanda will merge the two businesses to offer customers a wider choice of crafts and suppliers.

The transfer will take effect as of 23:59 10th January 2022. Customers’ orders placed until the end of this day will be handled and fulfilled by ISD and suppliers directly as usual.

From 11th January 2022, Create and Craft will be part of Hochanda. For the coming weeks, ISD will broadcast the Create and Craft program on the same channels as before and sell to customers on Hochanda’s account.

This is a very exciting time for us here and a move for the future that we see as being highly positive for the craft industry and one that will allow us together to bring even more great products, inspiration, and craft demonstration to a much greater audience.

We want to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support over the years with Create and Craft. It has been an honour and privilege to work with each and every one of you. We wish you the very best in your future with Hochanda.

Highlight Crafts Ltd. New year celebrations continue as it moves to the UK’s leading craft and hobby shopping channel – The Craft Store.

The company, founded in May 2021, will be selling its products - including its growing range of Two Red Robins die sets – through the TV shopping channel from January 14th starting with the First Sight of Spring collection.

“We’re a family run business, so to be back with the original team that started Create & Craft all those years ago is a comfortable place for Highlight Crafts to be this year,” said Karl Shaw, Managing Director of Highlight Crafts Ltd. “The Craft Store share our values and passion for creating good quality education, product, and service for the customer – we are ultimately aligned – with changes in the industry and our customer base growing rapidly, now is the perfect opportunity for us to join the channel.”

Stephanie says “I am excited to be bringing our Two Red Robins brand and other Highlight Crafts brands to The Craft Store. Keep tuned for more announcements but in the meantime visit www.highlightcrafts.com where we have launched our brand-new collection 'New Beginnings'. I am looking forward to having you join us on the journey."

Paul Wright, Chairman of The Craft Store added: “We’re thrilled to be welcoming Highlight Crafts to the channel at a very exciting time and pivotal time in the craft industry. Shopping habits are changing and customers are shopping around for the best deals – Highlight Crafts recognise this and bring a new audience, educational material and niche to the channel we just haven’t seen yet. I can’t wait for our customers to get the first taste of their designs in January!”

Jamie Martin has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer of Ideal Shopping Direct. Martin announced the news via Facebook.

"After three fantastic years as Chief Executive Officer of Ideal Shopping Direct the time has come for me to pass the baton. I'd like to thank all the staff at Ideal World, Create and Craft, IHUB, IKAN and Deramores for all their hard work and dedication over the past three years which saw the company record its best results in its 20-year history. I'd also like to thank my colleagues at Aurelius Group for all their support and guidance during my tenure. The reins have now been taken over by Tribe Kampstra and Friedrich Trautwein and I wish everyone every success."

A source told ShoppingTelly.com that despite Martins boast of record results during his time as CEO, sales through 2021 had failed to meet expectations and so parent company Aurelius Group have been actively seeking a buyer for Ideal Shopping Direct.
