Caroline Lyndsay's experience of using CBD Oil and Patches

TJC Host Caroline Lyndsay wants to introduce you to something she has started using fairly recently, and that’s CBD oil.

What follows is Caroline's personal experience.

Known to work wonderfully on pain, anxiety and even depression, I was a bit cautious when it first came out. It is derived from the hemp plant from which the main active ingredient is CBD, and the THC is barely present, making its use and legality more widespread. Soon I was keen to try it out when I learnt that cannabidiol has a minimal amount of the psychotropic compound THC and that use doesn’t result in the traditional “high”.

CBD hemp oil has become very popular with people suffering from various health issues, including chronic pain, arthritis, insomnia, anxiety, stress and depression.

TJC offer two ways of taking CBD here at TJC, both of which I use myself

The first is the CBD oil itself taken orally with a dropper. A few drops under the tongue are all you need and let them stay there for a minute or two. It has a peppermint flavour so ideal to use after brushing your teeth. You can use up to 6 drops a day, and it is easy to use if out and about. We offer it in two different strengths so maybe try the lower strength first. There’s up to a two month supply in the bottle, and it’s free from gluten, artificial additives and preservatives and suitable for vegans.

My experience - I have a lot of joint pain, and while we don’t recommend stopping your existing medication, I have personally found it a significant boost to take on top on bad days. I have also used it on occasions when under a lot of stress and found that it can just take the edge off any anxiety.

The second form of CBD is our patches. Now I find these a very convenient and fast way to deliver a 24-hour dose. Each patch slowly releases 99.83% pure CBD over a 24 hour period which is transferred directly into the bloodstream.

My experience You just need to apply to a non-hairy area; I usually put it on my inner arm or shoulder area (where a lot of my pain is). They are waterproof and hypoallergenic too. What I love about these is that you can forget that you have them on but reap the benefits as you go about your everyday life, so discreet and easy to use.

Tower Health: Tower Health CBD Patches

As with all alternative therapies, we suggest that you check with your doctor before using CBD oil or patches if you have any underlying conditions or are on medication. Above all, I really hope that these help you as much as they have done me! Visit TJC for more!
