QVC lights up West Chester for the holiday season

The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with QVC to deck the halls of downtown West Chester with “QVC Lights Up West Chester”. This installation will continue all season long to share the holiday spirit in support of West Chester’s small business community.

The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce (GWCC) typically hosts the annual QVC West Chester Christmas Parade, which attracts thousands of spectators, shoppers, and diners to the downtown region. However, this past September, GWCC announced its cancellation of the 2020 parade out of concern for public safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an effort to show support to local businesses in downtown West Chester for the holidays, the Chamber worked with QVC to replace this year’s parade with QVC Lights Up West Chester, an initiative where four blocks of Gay Street in the central business district are decorated with special lighting, bows on lampposts, and an FM radio loop complete with classic Christmas tunes.

Each of the brightly decorated blocks of Gay Street are sponsored by local businesses, including: West Pharmaceuticals; CTDI; Lamb McErlane, PC; Media One Products; My Benefit Advisor; Arthur Hall Insurance; Fred Beans Ford of West Chester; Lavazza Professional; and Rothman Orthopedic Institute.
